Fes Turkish BBQ - Brand Film
FES Turkish BBQ is a perpetually booked, high-end restaurant located in Berlin, which is specialized in traditional Turkish appetizers called 'Meze' and alcoholic drink 'Rakı'. They wanted to widen their audience, tell more about cuisine and culture.
BRIEF:
Rakı and Meze are not only related to food culture but also a social gathering which reunites friends and family over the table. People share their food and their hearts during drinking Rakı. And we were asked to tell and visualize these concepts.
CHALLENGES:
Since this traditional Turkish restaurant is in Berlin, we had to connect with German and global audience. A welcoming introduction to the culture is needed.
UNIQUE SOLUTION:
We based the story on a "dining is a social activity" premise and elaborated on the communicative part of drinking. We allocated a significant amount of screen time for the cultural annotations of the tradition. With the flexibility of animation, we were able to emphasize details and feelings around the table. We used references of cutleries, plates, tables, patterns, decoration and food from the restaurant to keep the visuals accurate.
