Roche - Cystic Fibrosis
Cystic fibrosis is an inherited condition that affects the lungs and digestive system. Treatments are available to help reduce the problems, but sadly life expectancy is shortened. Symptoms usually start in early childhood, and the condition gets slowly worse over time. The disease has a psychological and physical burden on both parents and children.
BRIEF:
Children with Cystic Fibrosis have to take care of themselves as they begin to go to school. The best way to deal with the disease is education. We teamed up with Roche and Cystic Fibrosis Charity to produce a six minutes animation for kids.
CHALLENGES:
Our target audience was the children with the condition. We had to approach them in a comforting way and tell a relevant story. We had to present his/her daily duties in a fun and engaging way.
UNIQUE SOLUTION:
We designed a primary school girl character called "Sun" with the condition. She is positive and cheerful upon challenges. The animation features the daily routine of the girl with the behaviours that we want to build on child patients. We gave answers to frequently asked questions about the disease with the help of girl character.
