BRIEF:

"Perfect Bull Trap" is an old school country break up song about a day trader who chases a stock and gets stuck in a bull trap... only to get out and, in the end, get back in again. Our goal with "Perfect Bull Trap" was to communicate, in relatable terms, that trading can be a roller coaster of emotions. Too many new traders enter the game expecting to get rich quickly and easily, only to get humbled by the market very quickly. As experienced traders, we know this - but how many of us did when we first started? What draws people into the market is the dream of success... not a vision of what it will take to get there.

So TrendSpider teamed up with talented Billy Ray Barnette to produce a great Country song. And we joined the project to create a music video.

CHALLENGES:

We had to tell the story of a day trader who is obsessed with a stock in an Americana country setting, but "Stock" is an abstract concept, and this is a love song. So we decided to characterize the "Stock" as a woman who is alluring our hero.

UNIQUE SOLUTION:

We used Country themes-probs and incorporated the day trading elements into the scenes. We portrait the stock market crashes as car accidents and VIX's as bad guys dressed in black and who were taking our woman hero into captivity.
