TrendSpider - $RICH - Music Video
TrendSpider is a customizable trading platform that helps you plan your trade, and trade your plan like a pro. For traders, by traders.
BRIEF:
TrendSpider's goal was to communicate that trading is a game anyone can play – if only they study and practice. Too many new traders enter the game expecting to get rich quick only to get washed out in weeks or months. They wanted to convey the realities of trading by using music and humor. So they teamed up with talented Gee Smiff to produce a great hip-hop song. And we joined the project to create a music video.
CHALLENGES:
TrendSpider wanted this project to be relatable by young audiences with a fresh visual style. The lyrics gave us cues on how to build the scenes and what to show on the screen.
UNIQUE SOLUTION:
We segmented the video into three major parts—friends talking to each other in the room, dreams about getting rich and facing the realities. Dream sequence features; the subreddit for traders Wall Street Bets, Robinhood brokerage app for young people, Overstock and symbol OSTK, Apple, Elon Musk, SpaceX, Tesla, Dave Portney, Trump, FED, Bull Flag, VIX, Bitcoin, Etherium, Corona Virus and many more from the day trading world.
At 'facing the realities' part, we changed the visual style of the music video drastically. Developed a more mature and rusty look inspired by anime aesthetics. So visuals and the message go hand to hand for a better impact.
